Viggle's got a genuine free tier that resets daily. On its free plan, Viggle gives you 5 free videos a day with 7-day storage and 1 video generation at a time.

The catches? The watermark and the character limits.

Free videos carry a Viggle watermark. The free tier also includes only "Limited multi-track sessions" (multi-track is Viggle's tool for swapping more than one character).

Removing the watermark needs the Pro plan at $9.99 a month. In an earlier tutorial on Sept. 22, Dave from Create with Dave noted that Viggle's animate tool "only allows one image, so you can only swap one character", though Viggle's menu now also lists a multi-character tool.

Higgsfield Genjutsu: free only with a paid plan now

Higgsfield Genjutsu is the motion-transfer tool featured in many viral tutorials. But its pricing page lists no free plan, and its $19 Starter plan includes no free Genjutsu generations.

Dreamina's Hotel Lobby filter page tells you to start with free Dreamina credits where available, noting it may grant trial access to eligible accounts. Its paid tier lists watermark removal as a paid feature and costs $1.50 for the first month, then $15 a month.

If you'd rather use a template, XXL reported that creators distribute free CapCut templates for the trend.

Other tools have similar rules. Kling lists daily free credits for subscribers with a dash for free accounts.

Most of these platforms, from Hailuo to Higgsfield, would rather you subscribe.

• Hailuo: costs $8.40 a month billed yearly ($100.80 a year) for 1,000 monthly credits. In his Sept. 22 tutorial, Dave paid about $10 a month for about 1,000 credits: "I went for the cheapest deal, which is $10 a month for about 1,000 credits … With this plan, I can only generate around 10 videos. That is how expensive it is."
• Dreamina: costs $1.50 for the first month and automatically renews at $15.00 a month for 1,575 credits.
• SuperMaker: costs $29.9 a month for 800 credits (enough for 6 rap duo videos at 120 credits each) or $100 a year for 2,400 credits.
• Higgsfield: needs its Plus plan at $59 a month or Ultra at $129 a month to get 2 free Genjutsu generations.
• Creati: offers an in-app weekly subscription at $8.99 a week or $14.99 a month.
