Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what Rapduo ("we", "us") collects when you use rapduo.net (the "Site") and the rap video service it provides (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

The Service turns photos you upload — one photo of each of two people, or one photo of two people together — into a 12-second AI-generated rap video. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, our Refund Policy and our Cookie Policy.

Your photos, in short

Your photos are used for one thing: making the video you asked for.
The only company we send them to is our AI model provider, and only to generate that video.
We do not use your photos to train any AI model, and we do not sell them or give them to anyone to train one.
They are kept with your account. Email [email protected] at any time and we will delete them. If you ask us to delete your account, your photos are deleted with it.
Your videos are private to your account, and we do not use them for advertising or marketing unless you separately and explicitly agree.

What we collect

Information you give us

Account information. You sign in with Google. From your Google account we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We never receive your Google password. You can change the name and picture shown on Rapduo in your account settings.
Photos you upload. The photos you choose for a video: one of each person, or one photo of both.
Your note. The optional short line you can type to tell the rap what it should be about.
Videos we generate for you. Kept in your account so you can watch them again.
Messages to support. What you send to [email protected], and the address you send it from.

Information about payments

Payments are taken by Waffo Pancake, which sells to you as the merchant of record (see "Who we share it with"). From Waffo we receive the fact that you paid, what you bought, the amount and currency, and Waffo's order reference. We never receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code.

Information collected automatically

Usage and device data. Pages you view, buttons you use, the page that referred you, your browser, device type, operating system, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. This is collected by the analytics tools listed below.
Server logs. IP address, request times and errors, kept for security and debugging.
A device check for the free video. When a signed-in account claims its free video, your browser computes a device identifier (using the open-source FingerprintJS library, which runs in your browser), and we store it together with your IP address. We use it only to stop one person from collecting the free video again and again with new accounts. It identifies a browser, not a person.

Information we do not collect

We do not receive your card details. We do not use your photos to identify you, and we do not create face templates or other biometric identifiers from them.

Your photos

What they are used for. When you press "Create rap video", the photos for that video are sent to our AI model provider, together with your note and the video settings, so that it can generate your video. Photos you choose before signing in stay in your own browser and are not uploaded to us until you are signed in.

Who receives them. We store your photos in our storage at Cloudflare (see below). Apart from that storage, the AI model provider is the only company we send them to, and we send them only to generate the video you asked for.

No training. We do not use your photos to train any AI model, and we do not sell them or hand them to anyone for that purpose.

How long we keep them. Your photos are kept with your account until you ask us to delete them, or ask us to delete your account.

Deleting them. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete your photos, and we will. You can also ask us to delete your whole account; your photos are deleted with it.

Your videos

Your videos are shown only to your account. There is no public gallery and no share link on the Site.

We do not use your videos to advertise or market Rapduo unless you have separately and explicitly agreed to it.

Your videos stay in your account until you ask us to delete them, or ask us to delete your account. To delete a video, email [email protected].

What we use information for

Providing the Service: generating your videos, showing them to you, and keeping your balance of videos.
Managing your account and signing you in.
Taking and reconciling payment, and unlocking your videos once you have paid.
Preventing abuse, such as one person claiming the free video with many accounts.
Support: answering your messages and investigating problems you report.
Improving the Service: understanding which pages and features are used, and what fails.
Contacting you about your account or your purchases when we need to. Receipts for payments come from Waffo Pancake. We do not send marketing email unless you have agreed to receive it.
Meeting legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers below, and only to the extent each one needs.

AI model provider

Your photos, your note, the prompt we write around it, and the video settings (portrait or landscape, length, resolution) are sent to apimart, which runs Seedance 2.0, a video model made by ByteDance. We do not send your name, email address or account ID with a video request.

The provider handles the data it receives under its own terms, which we do not control. It may also refuse a request under its own content rules.

Other service providers

Waffo Pancake — the merchant of record that sells packs and plans to you and takes your payment. We pass it your account ID, your email address and what you are buying; it collects your payment details on its own checkout page.
Google — Sign in with Google, and Google Analytics 4 for measuring traffic.
Cloudflare — delivering and protecting the Site, storing uploaded photos and generated videos (Cloudflare R2), sending the emails the Site sends (Cloudflare Email Sending), and Cloudflare Web Analytics for measuring traffic.
Microsoft Clarity — product analytics, including session recordings of pointer movement, clicks and scrolling on the Site.
Plausible and OpenPanel — analytics tools that we run on our own servers, so the data they collect stays with us. When you are signed in, OpenPanel links your activity on the Site to your account ID and email address. The OpenPanel script file itself is loaded from openpanel.dev.

The Site and its database run on servers we operate.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate a serious breach of our Terms of Service or to protect someone from harm.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the Site is used. Our Cookie Policy lists them and explains how to control them.

How long we keep it

Account information — while your account exists.
Photos and videos — while your account exists, or until you ask us to delete them. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its photos and videos with it.
The free-video device record — kept after an account is deleted, so that deleting an account and signing up again does not produce another free video. It holds the device identifier, the IP address and an account reference, nothing else.
Payment records — while your account exists. Waffo Pancake keeps its own records of your payments as the seller.
Logs and analytics — for a limited period set in each tool.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict some processing, and to complain to a data protection authority.

Access, correct or delete — email [email protected] with the subject "Data request". You can change your name and picture yourself in your account settings.
Delete your photos, your videos or your whole account — email [email protected]. When we delete an account, its photos and videos are deleted with it.
Opt out of analytics — block analytics cookies and scripts in your browser settings or with a browser extension.

Send data requests from the email address on your account so we can confirm it is you. We reply within 3 business days and complete the request within 30 days. If we cannot complete part of it — for example because the law requires a record to be kept — we tell you why.

International transfers

We and our service providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including in countries with different data protection laws. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards our providers have in place.

Security

We protect your information with reasonable measures, including encryption in transit and access control on our systems, and your payment details are held by Waffo Pancake, not by us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you think your account has been used without your permission, tell us at [email protected].

Children

The Service is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Photos of people under 18 must not be uploaded. If you believe a minor has given us information, or that a photo of a minor has been uploaded, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will give notice on the Site before it takes effect.
